Making A Kayak Trolley

The handle of the cart should be the end closest to the kayak at this point. lift the kayak and slide the cart under the back end of the kayak. let the kayak down so that the keel fits into the u-shape. you can now let the kayak rest on the cart. wrap the two straps around the kayak and the spine of the cart.. I've been wanting to make a trolley for my kayak for a few years now, so that i can move my kayak around by myself more easily. kayak trolleys cost around $100 to buy in store, but i figured i could make my own custom designed to fit my kayak for a lot less.. If you’re going to be kayak fishing, an anchor trolley is a must have. it’s one thing to find a good spot to cast out; it’s a whole other to not just drift to and fro with the waves. trolley systems make your anchor adjustable, giving you full control of where you drop anchor..

Making an anchor trolley first let me say, what a great project! and one easy enough that anyone who can operate a cordless drill can do. the kayak anchor trolley. here’s a step by step on how i did mine. this is a must have for your fishing kayak so pay close attention and feel free to comment below with questions and thoughts.. Overview: i didn't want to pay another $70-80 for a second kayak cart, so i decided to make my own. i saw some online and made a design improving on those that i saw. it's made of 1" schedule 40 pvc tubing but since the pieces are relatively small and glued in most places, it's very sturdy.. If you end up building a kayak cart or the like and would like to make a $5 donation, my paypal is oakpwr@sbcglobal.net. thanks
